Honda Passport Recall
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) tests 1995 Honda Passport
crashworthiness in front- and side-impact collisions and rates its resistance
to rollovers. Their test results suggest the chance of serious injury while rollover
resistance ratings are based on how top heavy the vehicle is and indicate the
chance for rollover when the vehicle leaves the roadway.
Some of the Honda Passport trouble spots where, the Audio system, where the speakers
crackle or cut in and out from a broken wire or bad ground and whine when using
the cassette player because of a misrouted power wire. Mirrors where the outside
mirror cracks when the rear-window defroster is turned on because the heated mirror
is not evenly heated. Steering noise where the steering wheel makes a scraping
noise because the wiring harness for the airbag rubs on the wiring reel. And the
vehicle noise, the dash squeaks because the clear lens for the instruments rubs
on the panel.
